Headteacher leaving RNIB Three Spires

12 March 2019

I wanted to write to all parents to inform you that I have made the decision to leave Three Spires after nearly 5 years. After 26 years in teaching, both my wife and I are ready for a change and to pursue new opportunities. We have decided that this time is now. I will leave my post at Easter. A recruitment process for my successor has begun and the Board will be advertising widely as well as working with recruitment consultants.
In the meantime, the Board have appointed an interim Headteacher, Fenella Dowler-Luke.

Fenella is a highly experienced in special needs leader and has held headships with the National Autistic Society, Nottingham City and Derbyshire. Fenella will commence a handover period from Monday, 11 March. We have prepared a full schedule for her including spending time in all the classes getting to know the pupils and staff which is absolutely key. We will arrange a coffee afternoon for parents to meet with her.
I want to assure you that until then I remain absolutely committed to Three Spires and ensuring the pupils continue to make good progress.

With Kind Regards

Rob Jones
